McGarvey Septs of Ulster Web Site

This Web Site was created for all McGarveys and Garveys of Ulster to come together and share information. Hopefully there will be a better understanding of our past as to who we are and who our Ancestors were.

My goal is to gather as much information as I can to help other McGarveys find their Irish Roots. I hope that others here will do the same.

With this information it is my hope that we can forge into the future stronger together.

I have who my grand parents are from now till around 1850-1860. William and Anthony McGarvey left Ireland during the potato famine.. Kinda disapointed i cant find later than that.

My great grandfather was Anthony McGarvey 1835-1873? married Mary Dyer; his father was John McGarvey 1780-1870? married Susan Green.

Hi Joanne,
So are you and Jacob related?
It is very frustrating trying to reach back further. I just spent a considerable amount of money with the Ulster Historical Foundation after giving them what we had hoped was a good lead and it turned up absolutely nothing.
Hopefully someday my hope is that someone will find something somewhere. Thank you for sharing,
